The vision of the JValue project is a world that utilizes open data to its fullest. This includes innovative apps written by our students based on open data as much as it includes corporate data scientists wringing important business insights out of the same data.
Our mission then is to provide everyone with an open source ETL pipeline (software) that can be configured easily to tap into any kind of open data, be it CSV files on a web server or REST-APIs provided by forward looking public agencies. (Yeah, those exist.)
